Our supporters packed out Wembley and broke the Premier League’s attendance on three occasions – Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal. Indeed, seven of our top 10 all-time attendances are now from our season at Wembley, including the 77,841 in the finale against Leicester City on Sunday.
Pundits spoke of a Wembley ‘hoodoo’ at the start of the season but we ended with just two defeats in 19 in the Premier League – and ‘Sonny’ put that down to the fans.
“I want to say thank-you for their unbelievable support this season,” said the South Korean star, who enjoyed a fantastic season himself.
“Without them, I don’t think we’d get into the Champions League, we’ve done it because of them, because when we play good or bad they are always there for us and I really thank them for their unbelievable support this season."

Those fans witnessed one of the games of the season, a thrilling 5-4 victory to secure third place in the Premier League.
“It’s an unbelievable finish,” added Sonny. “Not everyone believed in us because we played at Wembley but we’ve done so well.
“Since I arrived here, the players have been fantastic, I’ve really enjoyed it and hopefully next season with our new stadium we can go one more step.”
